A big part of the job of a voice actor is auditioning. In fact, some might say auditioning is the job. Submit great auditions... submit more auditions... book more voice over work... earn more money. It's a fairly simple formula.
The question then becomes, "how do I submit better voice over auditions?" Well, I'm glad you asked, because my guest this week has some great advice to help you do just that.
Brad Hyland is a very successful voice actor who also happens to be crushing it on casting sites. In this interview he offers up tips specifically for submitting better auditions on voice over pay to play sites, as well as for auditioning in general.

What does success look like for an Everyday VOpreneur? How do you define it? Then, once you've defined it, how do you get there?
Eli Schiff recently shared a little of his journey in the VOpreneur Facebook Group and I was inspired by it. So much so that I immediately reached out to him and asked for an interview.

To join the union or not to join the union? For some voice actors, that is the question. But maybe it doesn't have to be. Because, maybe you could go Fi-Core (Financial Core) and have the best of both worlds. The ability to record union voice over work, but not have to give up any of the bread and butter non-union work that keeps many of us in the booth day-to-day.

Writing voice over marketing emails is hard enough of a task on it's own without having to worry about whether or not those emails are ever actually landing in the inbox of the desired recipient.
There are things you can do when writing emails to help keep them out of the dreaded spam folder and get them into the inbox. Some of the red flags are a bit technical, but many of them are content related. It could be as matter of simply changing your subject line or cleaning up your email signature.
In this episode, Brad Newman of Upper Level Hosting does a great job of breaking it all down, and doing it in the least technical way possible. At the end of the interview, he even introduces a tool that will help you check the score of your email address.
